IT Section Manager

Basic Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the overall team supervision and management of software application and solutions in Manufacturing Planning and Supply Chain area.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Leads projects, which may involve multiple disciplines to create/design and implement software solutions for Manufacturing Planning. Plans, coordinates and leads a product’s release content, development and deployment strategies and execution.
2. Interacts with client community to review business problems and identify solutions. Facilitate the selection and final implementation of information technology solutions.
3. Manages the systems development cycle through effective utilization of project management, measurement and software quality assurance and process improvement techniques.
4. Develops and reviews specifications, high level work plans, test plans/cases and coordinates the application development process with the work group.
5. Provides technical and administrative direction in the application development process.
6. Assists in the development of department business goals.
Job Specifications
1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree.
2. Factory modeling and simulation experience using JDA (i2) Rhythm FP.
3. Systems development experience of at least 5 years. This includes experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, Capability Maturity Model, Project Management and development experience using Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Perl and Linux scripting.
4. Systems development management experience of at least 2 years.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills (documentation, presentation, training, interviewing, listening, negotiation, customer interaction).
Currently utilizing JDA (i2) Rhythm FP tool an advantage.
